Reading Your Phones Codeplug
Reading Your Phones Codeplug
**Do This At Your Own Risk We Are Not Held Responsible** 1. Download and Install the latest version of RSS or Carrier Rss or SuperAgent. 2. Once installed, If you are using a USB calbe and have your drivers installed then when RSS is opened go to Tools -> Options and make sure that USB is checked. 3. Connect your cable to the phone and computer and set the phone down somewhere with the flip open and DO NOT TOUCH. 4. In RSS go to File -> Read Phone. 5. You will see a small box appear in the center of the screen going through several phases. (Determing Cummunication, Entering RSS and SIM, Reading Phone) While this is happening, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE OR CABLE. You will notice that on your phone screen it says "RSS - SIM in session" 6. After RSS is done reading your phone, you will get a small notification box telling you the proccess was succesful, Hit "OK" 7. You will notice that something is open in your RSS, This is your codeplug. You can now turn off your phone and turn it back on. 8. Now its time to save you codeplug. You are going to do this twice and save it as two different names. One will be a back up that will remain unmodified and the other will be the one being modified. To do this go to File -> Save As and repeat this twice and be sure to keep the back up in a save place. 9. You have now finished reading your codeplug. Once it has been modified, you may open your codeplug up in RSS and write it back to your phone. File -> Write Phone. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE OR CABLE WHEN DOING THIS UNTILL IT IS DONE AND YOUR PHONE HAS REBOOTED. Last edited by Arcboy2006 : 06-23-2005 at 05:33 PM. |
