ringtone size?

i was just wondering what is the limit to the size of a ringtone.??

the limit will vary between make and model phone but it can use as much memory as available on your phone

i have the i860 ... i wanted to put a complete song..... and they all average about 1.3 mb....... it gives me an error message at the end... as if it was in the wrong format.

I assume you are using webjal to put it onto the phone? and also how is the file saved on your cpu? Is it just one sone or have you tried others?

yeah i'm using webjal and.. i'm using dBpowerAMP Music Converter to convert the song into Wave format: 8 kHz | 8 kbps | Mono PCM....... i've tried other songs... but end up with the same results...... so i was guessing there is a length or size limit because so far the only ringtones i've been able to upload are just around 30 seconds
