I have had Sprint for about 6 yrs. and a Nextel for my job for 3 yrs. They each have unique services/functions that will be great when merge is complete. I love Nextel's direct connect better than Sprints RL, well for one, nobody else I know has RL. I have read alot on here about how horrible Sprint CS is and I have to say, I have had several bad experiences myself, but recently had to have my phone fixed and then change my service and I was amazed at how much they have improved.
So for those who are worried, having both services, I feel confident this merger will work out best for all. I'm excited because I know so many people with both and it will be cheaper to hopefully soon be able to talk for free to each other. ![]() Last edited by Admin : 08-01-2005 at 07:20 AM. |

I'm pretty sure the merger will work out for the best of 2 companies... That being said, my understanding of it is that for the good portion of the time will be spent working on financial end of it rather than technological end... Stock brokers & CEO's will have more things to worry about before we have to worry about who's gonna have to switch to what phone & company, or which service & phone's gonna work with which company... And when all the dust settles at the end, I believe, there will be some type of "hybrid" that we can move over to... Until then, no point worrying about anything & just keep doing what everybody's been doing & cross that bridge, which won't be for a while in my opinion, when we come to it...

Oh, by the way, I do like nextel's free in-coming plan. When and if it does happen, I'd really hate to see that go... I use about 3500 - 4000 minutes a month & good portion of it is from peak time in-coming calls... My other cell. phone bill before I moved to nextel used to be 135 - $170 per month... For the past 5 moth, since I moved to Nextel, my bill hasn't gone above $85... I wonder if when they merge, they are gonna keep the same plan around?
