Post i90 SIM

[font=Tahoma]

I had (have) an i90 unlocked Roxy edition phone. It is a gray & white SIM card on the non-contact side and just white on the golden contact side. I believe it's 32k. I say this because when I went to the i730, with the yellow card, a sales pitch was the SIM was 64k and I remember making a mental note that it was twice as big as the i90's card.

SIM cards are not backward compatible. After I activated the i730, I tried inserting the yellow SIM back into the i90. The phone would work but no features - no phone book, no ring tones, just a "dial tone" for direct dialing. On the other hand, when you forward jump a SIM you can access virutally all the features of, for example, the i90 phone but you cannot use the newer features of the i730 phone. So you have an i730 that works like an i90. Take a look at Motorola.com's website, click on the IDEN link. They have a great FAQ section under Support.

FYI} If you are having trouble finding a SIM card for your i90, check ebay for used i60's. Sometimes they go as low as $5 to $10 bucks and you might even get a recharger in the deal. B^..^J
