good advice
hey there, oh yeah........when you make the file name and file size smaller it seems to work, no prob. just a hint for those still having probs......(try to keep the ringtone under 35 sec & keep the file name shorter than 6 or 7 characters. Good luck EH!!

General Question How are you guys getting MP3 ringtones on your phones? I have an i860 and I've been making my own WAV ringtones in Nero Wave Editor, then saving them as WAV files at Mono, 8,000hz, 8 bit. But that's all I can do. I've been loading them with Webjal.
Is it possible to get real MP3 quality ringtones on my phone? Is Nero Wave Editor not the proper way to save the ringtones to format? I've tried saving them as an MP3 but they won't load using Webjal. I always get errors. I do have Adobe Audition on another computer, should I try making and saving ringtones on there and try saving as MP3's with those same settings?

I too am receiving this error - ONLY with Ringtones. I can upload WallPaper and Apps, but ring tones no way. It was suggested to make the file smaller. I made a 1 sec ring tone and saved it with the settings as specified on this list. I can't seem to get it to upload at all. I continually get the same message. I am using WebJal and/or MyJal. Thanks for any help. Last edited by Z5K9 : 10-03-2005 at 04:32 AM. Reason: Add file |
