Hi all !
I've searched this lovely forum and found several threads talking about saving the mp3 in a format of 48 Kbps, 8000khz, mono etc... I've done some tryouts and nothing seems to work well (?!) I can upload the mp3's to my AUDIO folder, and I can play them on the media-player of the i880 - but I CAN'T make them as ringtones. Why's that ?! I've edited and upload something like 5 different mp3's and none seems to be able to set as ringtone at the menu. Please note that wallpapers (inside and externals) are working fine when I'm uploading them... just this mp3-as-ringtone problem. I've freaked out ![]() Please note I've tried also some programs, like : DBpoweramp, GoldWave and others... nothing helped me... Last edited by iDEN : 08-01-2007 at 11:11 AM. |

Well... Afetr installing webjal (r.01.01.03) - I'm getting an error message each time I'm trying to open the prog : "The application was unable to retrieve required information from the server" Can't I just drag-and-drop those edited mp3 via USB to the AUDIO directory ?! (just like I'm doing up to now with wallpapers ?!) As I said before, I can upload those mp3, but don't have the option to make them as ringtones (while clicking on "options" when I'm on the mp3 file...) - and I can PLAY those mp3 with the player... BUT NOT TO ASSIGN THEM AS RONGTONES... Any thoughts ? |

Re: mp3's as ringtones on my i880 - please help me out...
now i must say that i haven't tried using an mp3 file (i've used .wav files) but i think .mp3 should work also ... one uploaded to ur handest (i880 as that is what i have) it gives you the option to assign as a ringer

Aloha mate !
I've emailed you the post here, so if you're not linked to here from your mail-proggy, just leave it :-) I've reinstalled the webjal prog. and replaced the .exec file with the "pached" one. The program now open, YoOpPY ! BUT (there's always a but...) : After setting the connection type to USB and all the setup I need to enter were entered, look : --------------------------- When I press on the "connect" button (and yes, I've placed a V on the USB connections) - I'm getting this message : MediaPAL is unable to acquire information from the mobile device. Check the data cable connection and the communication settings. - RETRY/CANCEL --------------------------- I'm out of my mind with all of this... Will you rescue me from my miserable situation ? ![]() |

First off where i see that you are going wrong ... WebJal ?!?!?! ... that's not the right program. Maybe that's the reason why you are having problems with it ... must be something that you're not doing right 'cause it works perfect on my pc.

Hi PBNJ4296 !
Please note that post number 3 (my second post) - is talking about WebJal. Then you came and placed a post (even quoting ME) about yourself having the same problem... I then, obviously, thought, that you know what we're talking about Please let me know what's the patch is for, so I'll D/L the right proggy and test it again. Is it "MediaPAL" ?! do you have a link for it ? Thanks guy ![]() Last edited by iDEN : 08-22-2007 at 09:48 AM. |
