i860 - corrupt CP?
Ok.. so.. I went to flash my phone with the newest IDEN MOTOROLA SOFTWARE, not some theme or bullshit.. it went all the way through only.. it goes through the white i860 screen then goes to the blue screen and stops, then shuts off after about 2 minutes.
I tried loading my codeplug that I saved before I flashed the new software, and now it won't even start up without turning on FLASHstrap.. So.. my question is.. is there any way to fix this without having to wait 6 weeks for motorola to get off their *** and get me a new phone and or fix the peice of shit? |

Re: i860 - corrupt CP?
Ok so I got insanely lucky.. found a backup of my codeplug that it 'secretly' hides (the iden motorola OEM update) and was able to get my hands on RSS and reset my phone and continue with the update.
So.. seriously.. get RSS backup your codeplugs before running any updates, **** what motorola says about the whole 'omgz your not supposed to have that' **** them. it's useful. |
