Using phone as modem
Hello, I've got a Nextel ic502 hybrid phone. In my plan I have internet, which works great on my phone. I've been noticing on the internet that some phones can be used as a modem so you can connect to the internet on your PC through the phone. I've already downloaded and installed a driver that shows my phone as a modem, and I can even try to connect to the internet through it. When I try to connect to the internet however, on my phone's display it say's "connecting", but then it gives an error #67, "Incorrect username/password", but I've tried all my user names and passwords, and I've even double checked them at sprint (and yes I know about the 20 minute time out after many retries).
Online, for Verison phones, they say you need to dial #777 for your phone to connect, but does this also hold true for my phone? I don't know what phone number to dial, how to setup the modem (PAP, SPAP, security, buad rate, etc...), or anything. Can anyone help? |
