Ic 902 & Mpt

Has anyone tried to use the MPT with the IC 902? I use it telling it it's a V323i with my IC502 but don't know if it will work with my 902?

Also does anyone of software made for the Nextel/Sprint Hybrids?

Re: Ic 902 & Mpt

ic902, you have to tell MPT that its a v323. If you're gonna do ringers, then you'll need purevoice to convert the ringer to .qcp format. It also sounds better & it is loaded directly to the root file, not on the mem card. I can't figure out the specs for the wallpapers. The standard wallpapers on this phone only come in Kb sizes. Need some info on this, if you know, please share. I put my own on the phone, but they don't cover the entire screen like their standard ones do. I've tried all different sizes & even converted to .gif format. Hope this info on purevoice & MPT helps.

Hey Dude, did you read my post? I use (d) MPT. It seems easy enough, it's the wallpapers that I have issues with. I don't want to buy them over the Sprint site. They don't have the flair for creativity. It's v323, not 323i.

There isn't as much software for the ic902 like there is for Nextel phones. It's a messed up deal. The only one I know of is MPT, purevoice.

Yes, I got MPT to work. It's just ashame that "M" doesn't support this phone.

You don't have to convert mp3s to .qcp. You can load them directly into the phone. This is how i do it:

Open an mp3 in Cool Edit Pro 2
Cut the song down to the part you want to use
Convert the sample to:
48000 mHz
Stereo
16 bit

Plug in your phone and connect to MPT
open Multimedia Studio,
transfer file over to phone

Works like a charm everytime and sounds great.
