Sending Text messages

I have a I835 phone (Boost mobile phone) using a Nextel sim chip. Everything works fine but I can't send/reply text messages. I can receive them fine but can't reply. I've read that the sim code needs to be modified but I don't know how to do that. Does anybody have information on how to resolve this problem?

Thanks

dont think the sim needs to be modified it just seems like the wrong sim for that model phone. If you don't have the correct version sim card for that phone certain features will not work such as text messaging

Thanks for the reply. You are correct that it's not the sim that would originially be sold with the boost phone but it works fine. Nextel confirmed that the sim could be used but also confirmed that the text replying doesn't work because of different networks. Although this is the case, I know it can be done because it's been done before. Somehow the sim has to be modified in order for this feature to work. I didn't expect Nextel to tell me how to do this but where there's a will there is a way and if anybody knows how, please reply.

No you can't modify a sim card sorry it just won't happen for what you want it to do, basically if it works it is a fluck it should not work at all. The sim card is like a memory card for a digital camera if you need a 64K memory card and you stick a 32K memory card in the camera what happens?? you probably can use the camera but not the way it supposed to and can you modify the memory card no. So again sorry but you need to get the correct sim card and that is the only way everything will work 100%
